Let's talk about New Talent Submissions...

When submitting to Michele & Group, Inc. for new talent consideration, we ask the potential model to send in the most recent (1-2 days) of unedited digital images in a bathing suit.

Why do we ask new talent submissions to do this?

Since we sign models nationwide, we are unable to meet everyone. It is apparent that your photos represent your true form. We take great pride in our reputation to have the best talent in the business and we will not risk our talent showing up to a booking where they do not resemble the photos we submitted to the client.

Photoshop can be great for small touch-ups. As you can see in the picture below, Photoshop has given this model a different body type.

What is the correct way to take digital images to submit to Michele & Group, Inc.?

We suggest that you wear light makeup and have your hair in a natural style. Grab a bikini that makes you feel FABULOUS and a neutral pair of heals (if you don't want to be barefoot). Stand against a plain wall and have a family member take photos of you: full front, full back, full side and a close-up of your face.

I don't have someone to take the photos for me?

If you don't have someone to take the photos for you, you can submit photos that you take of yourself in the mirror. Please note that you will need to have someone take photos of you for your file.

I don't have time to do the photos, can I still be considered for representation?

The answer simply is no. If you can not take the time to send in the required photos, we will assume that you are not serious about working.

Who will see the photos?

Only the agency and clients who request to see digital images will see the photos. Your photos will NOT be posted to our website or shared with anyone.

I don't feel like I am in shape right now...

Do not worry! We are not here to judge your body. We only need to see what you currently look like for submissions to our clients. We understand that your weight will fluctuate or you may be having a "fat day". Just remember what you may think doesn't look good, others may find super attractive!!

I am already signed with Michele & Group, how often should I send in digitals?

Once a month would be GREAT but we can settle for every three months. Remember that the more you stay in contact with us and update your information that more you stay at the front of our minds for bookings. Updating your information with us, keeps us from doing unnecessary work.

Twitter or Facebook? This is tough, but I need to go with Twitter. Don’t get me wrong Facebook friends but being on the go with modeling jobs and a new mommy doesn’t give me much time. Twitter makes it easier to quickly update tweets and photos for my followers.

Three Shows that are currently on your DVR? Desperate Housewives, the new show called Up All Night with Christina Applegate and of course what model doesn’t watch America’s Next Top Model.

Favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car/ for karaoke? POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME!! The era with tie-dye, jean jackets and leather fringe was when I was destined to be born.

Experience as an Intern at Michele & Group!

Ever since the sixth grade I have wanted to work in the field of Advertising and/or with a magazine. I am only 18 but was lucky enough to get this chance to be an intern at Michele & Group and be able to learn from the best! I have got to see how everything works behind the scenes and gain experience in working with clients and models. I was even able to go to a calendar and website shoot and help make some of the props! I was able to incorporate my love for art into the advertising and modeling world! This job has prepared me for my future career in more ways than one! I was able to further improve my organizational, office, and networking skills. Shea was the best mentor I could have asked for! Sadly my internship is ending tomorrow because I have to leave and go back to school. However, this internship was able to teach me so much and give me such great experience that I was able to get an internship with a magazine in Florence, Italy for this upcoming semester! Thank you again Shea and everyone at Michele & Group for this great experience!

So working in the office today Valerie & I thought we needed a little inspiration. I think back to what makes me love what I do...and how it all started. I grew up in the time of SUPERMODELS...Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington. I piled in my mom's bed every Saturday morning to watch these women featured on Style with Elsa Klensch on CNN. When George Michael decided to feature these Supermodels in his videos for FREEDOM and TOO FUNKY he struck gold. These videos somehow made the models accessible in a way they had never been before. M&G Participates in Beach Palooza in Daytona Beach!

Michele & Group participated in Beach Palooza this past Saturday in Daytona Beach and represented Team MGD 64! Beach Palooza is a gnarly running event held on sandy shores where paloozers get their feet wet while tackling a series of radical obstacles. As the sun sets, the stoked crowd lets loose around a blazing bonfire with a pig roast, beer and beach tunes!

This was the first year for Beach Palooza and Michele played a crucial role in helping Daytona Beach to host the event. We are very proud of everyone who participated and look forward to next year!
